Visual Communications now offers degrees in Graphic Design and Integrated Media

Thinking about studying graphic design, web design, or photography this fall? Now is the time to get started. We encourage you to attend one of our Overview Sessions for the new information about our two new degrees and our and transfer options. Instructors and students will be available to talk with you and answer your questions. 2010 Fall Entry

Apply anytime! We have rolling deadlines and will review your portfolio after it is received. We will continue to accept applications until the program is full. We encourage you to apply early as space is not guaranteed. All students follow the same term by term course schedule the first year then decide on either graphic design or integrated media as a track for their degree. Students interested in both degrees or additional courses may take the program over three or more years.

Important Dates

  • August 12 — Early Bird advising for fall registration:
    There will be general program information for new students in the morning from 10–noon, an open advising session from 1-4 pm on in 4/279, followed by a Program Overview at 4:30.
  • September 14 —  Instant feedback day
    If there is space available in the program for fall, we will offer a day of instant approval. Have your application materials ready and get an assessment from counseling, attend an overview, have your portfolio reviewed and get an answer all in one day. Details will be available in the fall schedule and at vc.chemeketa.edu. later this summer. The day will begin with coffee and an overview at 10:00 a.m. Fall classes begin September 27, 2010

All overviews are held in 4/279.

  • June 14 from 4:30–6:00 pm
  • Aug. 12 from 4:30–6:00 pm
  • September 14 at 10 a.m.
